In 2001, Annie Reed met a woman by the name of Jitphinan (or “Mod” to her friends) in Bangkok, Thailand while on a church mission. At the time, Mod was sewing expensive gowns for one of the foremost designers in Thailand, yet making little money at doing so. Upon hearing about the talents that she had and having a desire to help a wonderful woman, she made her a promise to better her life through her talents as a designer and a seamstress. When Annie returned from her time in Thailand, she began setting up her own dream wedding line for a future wedding. Upon completing it, she had Mod take her dream and make it happen. Her wedding dress was made first, then four bridesmaid dresses, six flower girl dresses, and two mother’s dresses. It was so much fun designing each dress that she decided that she wanted to do it as a career. With the help from sister-in-law Jennifer Miller, and her Mother and Father, Pat and Cherie Miller, they have become a wonderful team. They have done wedding lines, women’s and men's suits, mother-of-the-bride apparel, flower girl dresses, prom dresses, and much more.
We decided to create a business that would not only create gorgeous, handmade formal wear, but to better the lives of the women of Thailand. We believe it is extremely important to do business that enables everyone who is involved with making our products to progress equally, no matter which country they are from. Our lead designer and seamstress, Jitphinan, has 27 years of experience in sewing and over 10 years in designing. She has sewn for many of the leading designers in Bangkok, Thailand. She also has degree in Mass Communication from Ramkhamhang University.
Our goal as a company is to help these multi-talented women use their skills and abilities to provide the means to provide for their families. We do this by helping them with their education, and providing a safe, caring, and rich environment that they want to be a part of. We are improving the lives of the Thai women that have so many talents to offer the world. Great things will come because of their work. We hope to provide more jobs to these wonderful people as we expand our business.
